Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026.
This policy explains what information Career Intelligence collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It is written to describe how the service actually works today. It is a practical website privacy disclosure, not a statement that outside counsel has reviewed it.
Who operates this service
Career Intelligence is operated by Generational Development ("Generational Development", "we", "us"). Career Intelligence is our career intelligence and positioning software product. You can reach us about privacy at support@generationaldev.com.
Information you provide
- Account information: your email address, a password managed through our authentication provider, and your name if you provide one.
- Profile information: details such as your headline, target role, and target level.
- Resume and career history: resume text you paste, and text extracted in your browser from resume files you choose to upload.
- Career content: answers to discovery questions, evidence you confirm, accomplishments and projects, career directions, positioning information, and notes you add to your career record.
- Outputs you keep: generated career materials you select, edit, or save.
- Support messages: anything you send us by email.
Information generated through your use
When you use the service, we create and store records derived from your content. These include resume analyses, strengths and gaps, career intelligence summaries, positioning strategies, generated career materials, and related system records such as timestamps, status of an analysis or generation, and links between an output and the evidence it was built from.
Billing information
Payments and membership management are handled through Stripe-hosted checkout and the Stripe customer portal. Career Intelligence does not receive or store your full payment card number. We may store identifiers and status information returned by Stripe, such as customer and subscription identifiers, membership status, trial dates, and current billing period dates, so we can tell whether your membership is active.
AI processing
To produce analyses and generated outputs, relevant resume, career history, evidence, and positioning content is sent to AI model services for processing. This means your career content may be transmitted to and processed by third-party model providers accessed through our AI gateway. We do not make any promise here about whether those providers retain content or use it for model training, because we cannot confirm that on your behalf. If you do not want particular content processed this way, do not enter it into the service.
Service providers we use
- Supabase: authentication, database storage, and server-side functions.
- Stripe: checkout, subscription billing, and the customer portal.
- Lovable AI services / AI gateway and the underlying model providers it routes to: AI analysis and generation.
- Hosting and email delivery providers: serving the application and sending account emails such as confirmation and password reset.
These providers process information on our behalf so we can operate the service. Each has its own privacy practices.
How we use information
- To create and maintain your account and keep you signed in.
- To store and display your career record only to you when signed in.
- To produce analyses, career intelligence, positioning strategies, and generated career materials you request.
- To operate memberships, trials, and billing status.
- To respond to support requests.
- To maintain, debug, and improve the reliability and security of the service, and to meet legal obligations.
Cookies and local storage
The application uses browser storage and cookies that are necessary to run it: keeping you signed in (authentication and session storage) and remembering basic interface preferences. We do not currently operate advertising or behavioural analytics cookies in this application. If that changes, we will update this policy.
When information is disclosed
- To the service providers listed above, to operate the service.
- When we believe disclosure is required to comply with law, legal process, or a government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, the public, or Generational Development.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- With your direction or consent.
We do not currently use your career information for third-party targeted advertising.
Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and manage the service, maintain your career record for your future use, and meet legitimate business, accounting, and legal obligations. We do not set a single fixed retention period for all data. You may ask us to delete your information as described below.
Access, correction, and deletion
You can view and edit much of your career record directly in the application. Self-service export and account deletion are not currently available in the product. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, email support@generationaldev.com from the address on your account and we will handle the request. Some information may be retained where we have a legal or legitimate business reason to keep it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect your information, including account-based access controls so your career record is shown only to you when signed in. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We make no certification or compliance claims in this policy.
What you should not submit
Please do not submit trade secrets, passwords or other credentials, confidential or restricted employer or client information, or personal information about other people that you do not have authority to share. Career Intelligence is designed for your own career history and evidence.
Children
The service is intended for adults 18 years of age or older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not currently verify age technically; eligibility relies on your representation when you create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including under United States state privacy laws such as California's, and under laws outside the United States, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, and to appeal a decision we make about such a request. To exercise any right available to you under applicable law, contact support@generationaldev.com. We will not discriminate against you for making a request. If you are located outside the United States, note that information is processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the service after an update means the updated policy applies to you.
